I’m really fortunate to have some wonderful writing friends—both online and in the flesh. It was my Sunday on the Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen blog to host a mystery-writing guest. Jim and Joyce Lavene--who have written more than 40 books for Berkley Prime Crime, Midnight Ink, Avon, and others—are great friends of mine who live near me in Midland, NC.

One of their series is a Renaissance Faire series for Berkley and they shared their recipe for Appyl Taryt (and some 16th century epicurean history). Hope you’ll pop over and say hi.
